Ocean Technology Strategic Planning RFP

The objective of this project is to develop a comprehensive strategic plan to position The Port of New Bedford as a leading hub on the East Coast for the development, deployment, and commercialization of ocean technologies.

New Bedford’s Ocean Innovation & Technology strategic plan will identify goals and strategies for enhancing infrastructure, leveraging existing strengths (hard and soft assets), addressing gaps, and targeting new opportunities that will establish New Bedford as a global leader in this rapidly evolving sector of innovation and technology. The two primary entities charged with developing and executing the strategic plan on behalf of the City of New Bedford are the New Bedford Port Authority and its non-profit independent partner, the New Bedford Ocean Cluster (NBOC). The NBOC has established itself as a core partner in business development for the port, as well as a convener of internal and external stakeholders.
